2010 Tagline Awards!

GettingAttention.org recently held the 2010 Nonprofit Tagline Awards and showcased the top non-profit taglines for the year.  Their recommendations for great taglines are:

  1. To be brief
  2. To connect
  3. To be specific
  4. To be easy to remember and repeat
  5. To convey unique impact

The best taglines represent this in 8 words or less, thus making it more memorable.  For these awards, 1700 non-profits entered 2700 taglines in 16 categories.  Amazing, considering that over 72% of non-profits do not have effective taglines.

The winner in the category of fund-raising:  Bring Back the Roar! – Oregon Zoo
